How it started...
Pea’s & Love is an organic food brand born from a great love of Meze style eating and a lifelong obsession with Hummus.
It started at home; Mums original recipe from North Cyprus, made its way to our home in East London becoming a staple piece, freshly made and always stocked in the fridge ready to eat.
As the years went on, the steady growth of Hummus options flourished into the UK market. Hummus started to become a staple piece in many homes across the country.
It was wonderful to see the culture boom, however, to this day, even with all the options now available; Mum still makes the most delicious Hummus of them all! 😊
An embodiment of flavours; zesty, full of spice and spices with a wonderful subtle crunch. This very Hummus, known as the ‘Classic’ in the range, has turned Hummus haters into Hummus lovers! (True story, see testaments!) It was this very reasoning that inspired the move from a private hobby into a mini business venture. And so, Peas & Love was born.
Starting with just the Classic Hummus and a few flavours trialed in markets, the range now boasts over 9 Hummus flavours, a variation of dips and breads aka dipping and sweeping tools.
The original recipe remains unchanged and is now the foundation of ingredients used to create all the other flavours in the Hummus range.
Only using the finest organic products, handpicked from certified grocers and top-quality retailers, the brand does not compromise on taste or quality.
The organic route also ensures maximum flavour and maximum nourishment from soil to belly.

The founder, the story
Hi, my name is Maz, founder and chef of Peas & Love.
A London born Turkish-Cypriot, born into a culture and family that express their love for each other not by words, but whole heartedly and grandiosely cooking and sharing food.
My mum always cooked enough to feed an army, quite often not eating herself, sitting back and feeling full from watching everyone enjoy and indulge in her lovingly prepared gifts.
If you reject a plate of food in our house, you are rejecting love! In my mums’ eyes anyway – ha!
I naturally inherited the same love of cooking and sharing food. I also always knew my mums Hummus recipe, still to this day, was better than what I was finding on shop shelves.
Once I realised that my Hummus was capable of turning Hummus haters into Hummus lovers I braved the local farmers markets and started taking on small catering jobs.
The feedback was phenomenal and overwhelming. Confident but still humbled, it was at this point that I decided to push it up to the next level and reach out to a bigger audience and share mums Hummus with the world.
Having always practiced a healthy lifestyle myself with mindful and nourishing choices in both food and life directives, it was very natural for me to choose organic and use sustainable packaging from the offset.
The birth of Peas & Love’s as a brand was a simple and beautiful transition from these very ethos’s and I want to show my love and share my gift, just as my mother does when she cooks, feeds and expresses her love.
